Cadence Triathlon and ePerformance - 2006!
The first edition of the North Carolina training camp of Team Cadence in partnership with E-Performance was an enormous success! Click here to view the photo gallery of the camp!!
From April 14-23/06, fifteen athletes headed to Pinehurst, a small village surrounded with fields of golfer from the PGA, in North Carolina. At this time of the year, the temperature is rather merciful (between 20 and 35 degrees C) which is ideal if you are looking to do a lot of mileage on the bike to build a good foundation before the ourdoor season begins.
This type of camp allows the athletes to work on technical and tactical points in a charming and very dynamic environment. This timeframe allows the athlete to work on perfecting their technique, to ride in a pack formation, as well as work on pedaling techniques, climbing and descending etc. Several sessions of riders were formed into groups, which offered the athletes the chance to work on development and skills in these areas.. The athletes also had sessions in swimming and track running - which was filmed on video for analysis and feedback. This type of training allows for the athletes to take advantage of specific instruction to work on development.
Several workshops given at the camp included : sports nutrition, transition, muscular strengthening, abdominal and back.
Our coaching staff knows how to adapt the level of training for each athletes - from the beginner to the advanced - so each athlete benefits from at their own level.
For the duration of the camp, the athletes were able to find their motivation and develop their full potential by the end of the session.
A good season is now ahead for those athletes who have prepared themselves for competition. For those would could not join us this year, we look forward to having you join us next year for this positive learning experience.
Christian, Francisca et Luc.
